today i have done the unthinkable.

i have brought my own breakfast to work. not just the swedish coffee cake i braided and baked last night while enduring a chat from a stranger, but no i have also brought an apple.
i have been listening to beirut and reading maynard and jennica, i am hateful! my veins are coursing with vitriol! i denounce this pleasure! i want to read this book and listen to these songs tomorrow morning and the next and the next.

In the spirit of the new year

(which has not yet started)

I have decided to inflict an additional blog upon the internet. It will chronicle that which I find worthy of note. It will include lists. It will at times be wildly inaccurate. It will celebrate minor victories and any other miscellany I admire, enjoy or find impressive. It will be prone to fits of abstraction. It will be self-congratulatory. It may very well borrow wholesale from threads of literature I am reading or reproduce notes I write in their censored entirety. I fully intend to exaggerate and understate, to misspell and misuse punctuation, particularly capitalization, as I see fit.
